Investment Relations Associate - Charlotte, NC

Position Summary

The Investor Relations Associate is responsible for supporting and maintaining Madison’s client relationships across its multiple funds. This individual will work in partnership with investments, marketing, and asset management to prepare client materials and manage investor reporting. This position will also help with onboarding new investors and maintaining investor contact databases.

Essential Functions

  • Manage monthly and quarterly investor reporting
  • Database administration including data record creation and ongoing data maintenance of investor information and documentation
  • Preparing and reviewing investor capital call and distribution notices
  • Maintain custodian relationships and requirements for fund holdings and positions
  • Develop and maintain effective working relationships with new investors with the overall objective of enhancing the business relationships within the portfolio
  • Respond to ad-hoc investor requests for information and investment analysis
  • Contribute to marketing and communication related projects as requested, including but not limited to pitch book, fact sheet, flyers, and brochures
  • Review incoming investor subscription agreements and work directly with advisors to resolve any trades not in good order
  • Draft offering documents and coordinate with the legal and acquisition teams to ensure all required documents are completed in a timely manner
  • Assist in handling all Assignment of Interest Agreements and Purchase and Sale Agreements for investor accounts and update changes in database system
  • Analyze financial information to forecast business, industry and economic conditions, for use in making management decisions by performing the following duties: track, gather, analyze, and summarize Company financial statements, industry, regulatory and economic information, and financial periodicals and newspapers, Internet, etc.
  • Interpret data concerning price, yield, stability, and future trends of investments.
  • Design reports to provide senior management with information and analysis on financial performance and comparative analysis.
  • Coordinate with all levels of management to gather, analyze, summarize, and prepare marketing and business material.
  • Track, gather and analyze sell-side research analyst models. Review models for accuracy compared to internal forecasts and assumptions. Develop, update, and maintain an internal earnings model using only publicly available data.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency with Docusign, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint is required
  • Experience with Juniper Square software strong plus
  • Ability to prepare and review investor capital call and distribution notices
  • Ability to maintain and update investor databases and documentation
  • Ability to develop internal reporting/analysis models using publicly available data

Qualifications & Skills

  • 3+ years of relevant experience (Investor Relations, Real Estate, Accounting/Finance)
  • Extremely effective communication (verbal, written and graphic) and interpersonal skills
  • Previous private equity experience strong plus

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, during standard business hours. Additional hours may be required as needed to meet deadlines, support reporting cycles, and respond to investor requests.
